Qwest is a leading telecommunications provider for small businesses in the Midwest and West. Qwest Small business has recently launched a FREE, new, major educational resource for their small business customers, rich with content, white papers, presentations, videos, brochures and guides to help “connect the dots” between small business challenges and technology. There is an offline component (Feet on the Street) with community reps across the region as well as an online component, which is business resource center. The two work together.

Upper Playground Short Film Contest – Ultra Motor A2B Bike – Open to all – No duration limit – Due: August 30, 2010
Upper Playground has launched a short film submission contest in partnership with Ultra Motor and Chrome Bags, with the winner of the contest being awarded a one-of-a-kind Ultra Motor A2B bike and a Chrome Citizen bag which have both been specially customized by artists PEZ and Joshua Blank.
In keeping with the spirit of the prize, the theme of the video submissions must be bike oriented.
Submissions will be judged on the same qualities that Upper Playground has strived to hold themselves to:
- creativity
- innovativeness
- consistent focus on originality
Whichever video matches these qualities best, will be featured on the Upper Playground Video Channel, WalrusTV.
The winner of the contest will not only win a one-of-a-kind Ultra Motor A2B bike, but also a Chrome Citizen bag, both of which have been customized by artists PEZ and Joshua Blank.
Ultra Motor has positioned itself at the forefront of the electric bike industry for the sleek design and the consistent over-performance of their bikes, and the Metro bike that can be won has a retail price tag of $2,600 – not to mention the addition of artwork and stickers by PEZ and Joshua Blank, whose sticker based art has made a name for itself through their involvement in bike culture and messengering in New York City and San Francisco.
