Why can’t I film my kids (under 18)?? I read the rule–but why have that rule??
Thanks,
KDuck
Hi KDuck,
My guess is it is a matter of liability – someone videotapes their child burning her hand making a grilled cheese sandwich, questions of child labor, etc. Our society is sometimes protective beyond the rational. Remember, at VidOpp we collect and post the video contests, we don’t make them up!

You have to be 18 or older, or over 18? Also, can an entry come from someone under 18 as long as they arent featured in the film?
Good question Adam, here is the official rule:
Open to residents of the 50 United States and D.C., 18 years of age and older as of October 15, 2007, except for employees of Kraft Foods Global, Inc. (“Sponsor”), MySpace, Inc., Promotions.com, Inc. (“Judges”), their affiliates, subsidiaries and agencies (collectively “Promotion Parties”), and members of their immediate family or persons living in the same household.
Thanks,
Douglas at VidOpp
In the Kraft promo they have a young girl under 18 watering a field of grill chesse that blossom into happyness. Does this mean you can film you kids eating grill cheese not making them? I emailed kraft this question and still have not received a response with time running out. Thanks
Thanks for your question Gordy,
The rule says “everyone featured in the video” – I think you are taking a serious risk of getting disqualified if you use a person under 18 in your video. Maybe you could find a very young looking 18 y.o.?
Good luck,
Douglas
I’ve noticed that some people have entered more then one video, isn’t it only one per person or can we enter as many time as we like? Thanks
where can i get the music and the ending screen shot of the grilled cheese logo
Hi Gordy,
Quote from the official rules:
“You may enter as often as you wish.”
So go for it!
