Do you have beauty, brains and bravado? If so, you might be the next Model Latina! 10 attractive and talented Latinas will be chosen to live together and compete for the title on [Sí] TV’s upcoming reality show. The woman who best embodies the traits of a Model Latina will receive a starring role in a reality TV series, exposure in Latina magazine, and much more!
Video file must be 100MB or smaller and in .mov (QuickTime), .mpg (MPEG), .mp4 (MPEG-4), .wmv (Windows Media) or .avi (AVI) .3gp or .3g2 file format. Video must be between thirty (30) seconds and five (5) minutes in length and feature applicant and explain why applicant should be a participant in the Series.
The ten (10) Submissions with the most valid votes will advance to Round 2 of the Search. In the event of a tie, the tied Submissions will be judged by a panel of qualified judges using the following equally weighted criteria: 1) personality; 2) model potential; and 3) expressiveness.
Round 2: The Online Semi-Finalists will be submitted to Si TV who will review these Submissions along with submissions Si TV receives through its open casting calls to determine the ten (10) applicants who will appear in the Series.
The winner of the Series will be eligible to receive the Grand Prize, which will include exposure in Latina Magazine (exact details to be provided at time of winner notification) and other prizing valued at $10,000 in the aggregate.
Open to Latina women who:
- are legal residents of the United States (including Puerto Rico but excluding other U.S. territories and possessions),
- are between 18 and 28 years of age as of January 8, 2008,
- are fluent in English (both orally, and in reading/writing),
- possess the appropriate visa or waiver to enable her to legally reside in the United States through December 31, 2009 (if selected as a Finalist (as defined below)),
- have not had experience as a model in a national campaign within the three (3) years prior to the commencement of this Search,
- are not now a candidate for public office, and if selected as a participant in the Series, agree not to become a candidate for public office for one (1) year following the initial exhibition of the last episode of the Series in which she appears,
- have not participated in any adult entertainment (e.g., pornography), as determined by Sponsors,
- do not have a contract or other commitment with any third party that could potentially interfere with her ability to enter into agreements.
- She must be willing to live in Southern California for approximately ten (10) days with approximately nine other female strangers and production personnel, where she will have little or no privacy (the “dwelling”). Finalists living more than fifty (50) miles from Los Angeles will be provided round-trip economy travel between Southern California and the major airport nearest her hometown; such travel will be arranged and paid for by the Producers.
- She must be in excellent physical and mental health.
- She understands that she may be required to pose and be photographed or videotaped while clothed, partially clothed or naked.
- She understands that she may be photographed and/or videotaped in embarrassing, disturbing or incomprehensible situations and she agrees to participate in such activities, notwithstanding the possible consequences.
