Grab your phone or digital camera and film yourself describing why you’re Dumping the Pump this summer. Is it to save money? Help the environment? Reduce stress for a better quality of life? Whatever your reason, now you can win a year of free public transportation from APTA.
Open to legal US residents who are 18 years of age and older. Videos must be submitted between 12:01 AM on 6/18/09 and 11:59 PM on 8/13/09.
Upload your video to YouTube and – this is important – tag your submission with “dumpthepump.” We will find it and add it to all the other videos at our Dump the Pump YouTube channel.
You agree that winners will be determined by APTA and its judges in their sole discretion and their decisions are final.
First Prize – Twelve month’s worth of transit (equivalent to the monthly pass rate charged by the transit system in the winner’s home city multiplied by 12). Prize not to exceed $1,900.
Second Prize – Six month’s worth of transit (equivalent to the monthly pass rate charged by the transit system in the winner’s home city multiplied by 6). Prize not to exceed $936.
Third Prize – Three month’s worth of transit (equivalent to the monthly pass rate charged by the transit system in the winner’s home city multiplied by 3). Prize not to exceed $468.
