The Documentary Competition is a place for filmmakers to submit their work, vote on the work of their peers, and compete for funding for a documentary.
Your Documentary submission must be 30 seconds to 3 minutes long and you must be a registered member to submit and to vote. THE JULY ROUND OF THE DOCUMENTARY COMPETITION ENDS SUNDAY JULY 12.
At the end of the cycle, the 10 documentary submissions with the most peer votes will compete for one of the two winning spots. The second winner for that round will be chosen by Filmaka executives from among the entire month’s submissions, regardless of peer votes.
Both winners for that round will receive $500 and go on to compete at the end of the year for funding for a full-length documentary.
Two winners will be chosen at that time and the next round of competition will immediately begin!
