NAFSA: Association of International Educators and Abroad View, the global magazine for students, are hosting a video contest to give you the opportunity to share how your study abroad experience has helped to advance global understanding. Tell us your story.
The Student Diplomat Video Contest is open to U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents of the United States who have had an undergraduate study abroad experience, whether they are currently enrolled through an accredited college or university or have studied abroad since Spring 2005.
Deadline: Nov. 6, 2009 11:59 p.m. EST
A panel of judges, selected by the Abroad View Foundation and NAFSA: Association of International Educators will evaluate eligibly submitted videos and select the best among them. These will be posted on the main Contest Site no later than November 17, 2009. Each video will be evaluated on its
- quality,
- relevance to the theme, and
- creativity.
On November 17, 2009 the videos of each finalist selected by the panel of judges will be displayed on the Contest Site where the general public will be encouraged to vote.
The 2009 Student Diplomat will be selected from among the finalists by combining the votes received from our expert panel of judges and the number of votes tallied from the public for each finalist’s video. Each voting component will be worth the equivalent of 50% of the final vote.
The winner will be named the 2009 Student Diplomat and awarded a $300 cash prize.
