Mountain Dew asked their biggest fans to band together and create the next DEW, from the flavors to the TV ads. Now’s your chance to get involved. Create A DEW Spot!
Direct, shoot and edit a 12-second DEW spot that shows off your skills.
Upload your 12-second video – must be submitted by 11.30.09
You must 18 years of age or older (19 in NE and AL) and a legal resident of the United States.
Visit the Website and use the tools provided on the Website to upload your video prior to 11/30/09 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET.
Consumer Voting: Between 12:00:00 a.m. ET on December 1, 2009 and 11:59:59 p.m. ET on December 13, 2009 consumers will be allowed to vote on their favorite Submission.
Approved videos will be added to the gallery to be voted on by DEW fans. When voting closes, the six leading submissions will be revealed. In the end, three finalists will be selected to receive funding for a :15 TV DEW spot.
The six Submissions with the greatest number of votes will each be deemed a Finalist Submission.
Once the top six Finalist Submissions have been determined, each Flavor Nation shall select their choice of the winning submissions based on the criteria listed below:
- Originality and Creativity 40%
- Strength of Mountain Dew branding 40%
- Overall Appeal 20%
Three final Submissions will be chosen. The final Submission Entrants
will work with the Sponsor and the Judges to develop a Mountain Dew line extension flavor specific product commercial. Each of the Agents will have an advertising budget of up to $200,000 to create one :15 second national TV spot promoting the product of the Flavor Nation that selected that specific Agent. Production will include all elements necessary to create a TV ready commercial, including but not limited to, the creative pitch, editing, location, talent, music.
