In the first MO Project, youth made media showing what they wanted MO’ of to improve the health of their community. Now it’s time to continue the MO Project movement of youth shaping the future of California’s health.

Welcome to MO Project 2! Make a video, spoken word or poster about how you “own your health” in your community, school, after school program, streets or neighborhood. Did you help change the food in your corner store, start a farmer’s market, lead a health survey, present your health agenda to city council or just care about the health of your community….Share your untold story. Be creative and inspiring and WIN cool prizes!

MO Project online contest is open to California youth ages 13-18. Youth must be legal residents of California. All Youth 13-17 must have an Adult Ally in order to enter. A specific type of relationship between an Adult Ally and Youth is not required – for example, they could be teachers, mentors, family members, case managers, or other

Public voting runs from the moment the video or poster is made available online for public viewing to 11:59 p.m. PT on January 27, 2010.

The 15 submissions with the most votes will be named as “Finalists.”

AWARDS CRITERIA

  • Message 40%
  • Entertainment Value 30%
  • Personal Reaction 30%

Finalists’ work will be reviewed by a panel of judges based on the Awards Criteria below. The judges will each rank the finalists. Judge rankings will determine a “Winner” and an “Honorable Mention” in each category.
