As the 2000’s wind down, The Daily Show is giving you a chance to cash in on your nostalgia. Use your phone or recording device to send us a video about or inspired by the last ten years for a chance to win a trip to New York City, VIP tickets to the Daily Show, $2,500 cash and other great prizes.
Contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are able and prepared to document that they are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Entries due by by December 31, 2009.
Here’s how you do it:
Watch the Decade in Review videos
Use your video enabled phone or video camera to film yourself telling us:
(a) What your favorite year was in the last decade and why
(b) A story that happened to you in the last decade that reflects the times
Use MMS to send the video to 80366, or e-mail it to decadeinreview@gmail.com by December 31, 2009
Include your name, e-mail address and phone number
Your video should be between 30-seconds and 2-minutes in length.
The Judges will select the Winner, and all decisions of the Judges are final.
Judging Criteria:
- Originality: Up to 25 points awarded
- Humor: Up to 25 points awarded;
- In line with Comedy Central brand: Up to 25 points awarded
- Relevance to the last decade: Up to 25 points awarded
