Mardi Gras in New Orleans is one of the greatest celebrations in the world that is an annual pilgrimage for many groups of friends. It mixes unique traditions with the come-one-come-all spirit of the city for an unforgettable experience. To capture it all and share with its fans, Southern Comfort is looking for someone to head to New Orleans and send back their own ‘slice’ of the Big Easy!

You must be at least 21 years of age and a legal resident of the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, South Africa, Germany, Ireland, or Australia to enter. Contest void in California USA Tennessee USA and Quebec Canada and wherever prohibited or restricted.
Submission period ends December 28, 2009, 11:59 pm ET.
Southern Comfort Facebook fans must submit a 30-second to 2-minute video in English on why they would make the perfect Southern Comfort Mardi Gras correspondent. Entries must be submitted using the Southern Comfort Mardi Gras application. Three finalists will be chosen by a Southern Comfort panel of judges based on creativity, comedic value and on-screen charisma and posted on Facebook where Southern Comfort fans will be able to vote for their favorite correspondent using the voting function on the application.
SEMI FINALIST SELECTION AND JUDGING : Three semi-finalists will be selected from among all eligible video entries received November 15 – December 28, 2009 by 11:59 PM ET (Louisville, KY USA. The judging will be conducted by a panel of judges selected by Brown-Forman whose decision concerning all aspect of this promotion shall be final Semi Finalist entries will be selected based on three criteria:
- Creativity
- Comedic value
- On-screen charisma
The three semi-finalist entries will be chosen on or before January 5, 2010. The three semi finalist entries will be posted on Facebook for voting by Facebook users from January 5-15, 2010. Beginning Jan 5, 2010 and ending January 15, 2010 (11:59 PM ET, Louisville KY USA), visitors to the Southern Comfort Facebook site may vote on the Mardi Gras Correspondent entries via the Mardi Gras application (1 vote per day). Facebook users will be instructed to vote based on the judging criteria. The grand prize winner will be the entry with the most votes.
Prize
The winning correspondent chosen by Southern Comfort Facebook fans will be sent, along with a friend to serve as their cameraperson, to the brand’s birthplace of New Orleans for Mardi Gras in February 2010. Their prize includes airfare, lodging, daily stipend and a $5,000 USD performance-based bonus.
