The business of syndicating video across a broad distribution network is interesting – but I can’t imagine there is a very large slice of revenues available to this sort of middle man.  I guess the key is getting big fast:

5min how-to and lifestyle videos struck syndication deals with The Style Network and G4 cable networks. 5min will extend online viewership while opening up new advertising opportunities for each partner by intelligently matching the videos to targeted audiences.  5min will syndicate videos from The Style Network and G4 across a distribution network of 350+ sites reaching over 300 million unique visitors a month.

The world’s bestselling reference series, For Dummies has more than 200 million books in print, covering 1,600+ topics.   • Meredith’s leading lifestyle content from Better TV and Parents TV, commencing with 500 videos and adding up to 225 new videos each month. Bettertv.com features 20+ channels of video information covering food, family, home, style, remodeling, entertainment, relationships, fitness and health. It features experts from across Meredith’s brands such as Better Homes and Gardens, Ladies’ Home Journal, More, Family Circle, and Fitness. Parents TV content features experts from Parents, Family Circle, American Baby and more to help guide parents through every phase from conception to college, and many steps in between.
