Create a video that shows how/why you love avocados from Mexico. You can show your favorite recipe that gets you in the mood or create something funny or entertaining about avocados and love. Your video should be no longer than 2-minutes.
This Contest is open to legal United States residents who are 18 years of age or older as of December 7, 2009.
Submission period ends 11:59 p.m. ET on Sunday, January 3, 2010.
Sponsor will determine 5 videos submitted by entrants in each of the three categories (Best Recipe, Most Entertaining, Most Original), to qualify as finalists, based on the following judging criteria:
- Originality and overall quality of each video
- The video’s success in expressing the Avodisiac theme
- Quality of the video relevant to considered category (Best Recipe, Most Entertaining, Most Original)
The judging panel will also take into account the popularity of video entries, based on number of views, comments, and audience feedback. I
Category Winners (3 winners)– $2,000 awarded as a check. The finalist whose video receives the most votes in each category will be named the Category Winner, and will receive a prize in the amount of $2,000.
Finalist Prize (12 winners)– $500 awarded as a check. Each finalist (who is not a Category Winner) will receive a $500 prize.
First 50 Prize – The first 50 eligible entrants will receive a FREE autographed copy of Rick Bayless’s cookbook, “Mexican Everyday”.
Entrant Prize – Contest T-Shirt. Each eligible entrant will receive a FREE Contest t-shirt.
