Compose your original version of the Folgers Coffee Jingle. Just include “The Best Part of Wakin’ Up is Folgers in Your Cup” melody and lyrics as shown in our Tool Kit.
This Contest is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and who are amateur musicians. Individuals who have had or currently have a music recording contract or who earn more than 50% of their income as a musician or vocalist are prohibited from entering this Contest and cannot win.
Submission period ends 11:59 PM ET on 02/28/10.
Entries will be judged by a qualified panel of judges, including representativesof the Sponsor, and a total of 10 Semi-Finalists will be selected based upon the following criteria:
- Creativity/Originality (0-40 points)
- Musical performance (0-40 points)
- Adherence to creative assignment (0-20 points)
The 10 Semi-Finalists will be featured at www.bestpartofwakinup.com between 12:00 PM noon ET on 03/28/10 and 11:59 PM ET on 04/21/10. A total of five Finalists will be determined based on the points awarded from both the Semi-Finalist Judging and the Online Voting.
Five Finalists Will Take a Trip to New York City to Compete in the Live Grand-Prize Audition and receive $1,000 in cash.
Five Finalist Teams will compete in a live audition in New York City, NY on or about 05/27/10. The Grand Prize Winner will be determined based on the following criteria:
- Musical Performance (0-40 points)
- Stage Presence (0-40 points)
- Creativity/Originality (0-20 points)
The Grand Prize Winner will be selected by a qualified panel of judges whose decisions are final.
Our Grand-Prize Winner will receive $25,000 plus the chance to have their jingle featured in a Folgers Coffee commercial.
