Independent Woman’s Voices – $5000 – Open to all – Under 1 minute – Due: December 14th, 2009

Independent Women's Voices

The Independent Women’s Voice (IWV) announces a contest for the best video addressing why Senators and Representatives should vote AGAINST proposed legislation that would radically remake our health care sector, sacrificing what’s best about the current system without address existing flaws.

Imagine you had one minute alone with your Congressman or your Senator. What would you say to convince him or her to oppose this bill? We want you to create a video that does just that: tell your elected Representatives what you think about the proposed health care reforms, and how they’ll affect you and your family.

The video can be anything from you expressing your views to, or a sketch dramatizing life under government-run health care. It can be serious or funny, whatever you’d like. So dust off your old camcorder, have your family join in and have fun with it!
